This year around 400 painters submitted their paintings (usually 2 - 3
paintings per artist) to the exhibition. From them,
the Jury, which consists of 123 members of the Shutai Bijutsu Kyokai
(Society of Invidual Artists),
has selected around 174 authors for the show. Together with 123 members
the shows represents paintings of 297 artists.
The show also named 16 artists as "Fine-Work Authors", and I'm one of
them. My work at the show is "The
Threshold".
After the Tokyo exhbition,
the works by 16 Fine-Work Artists and 123 members of Shutai Society will
be exhibited
at the Aichi prefecture's Art Museum in Nagoya on September 23 - 28,
and Kyoto City's Art Museum in Kyoto on October 11 - 19, 2003.
