Dear friends, ladies and gentlemen,

To me, this is a result of an international collaboration: you see here the paintings of a Vietnamese displayed on the walls of one of the most exclusive Italian restaurants at the top of Tokyo.

Everything came from my lucks of meeting amazing people in the course of my life. Four years ago, at my first solo show in Japan I met Benjamin Lee – a Tokyo-based Chinese Canadian artist – photographer known for his portraits of celebrities. When Benjamin held a solo show of his works here last year, I came visit his show. He introduced me to the@representative director of BiCE, signore Angelo Visigalli, which we call a la Giaponese Angelo-san. Looking at the album of my paintings, Angelo-san said: gThis is what I like!h . That was the beginning of the project of the show, which you see today.

This show is memorable for me also because it starts on the birthday of my mother, who turns 81 tomorrow. So I would like to dedicate it to her.

I thank Angelo  - the host of this show and Benjamin for introducing me to BiCE Tokyo. I express my gratitude to the BiCE staff with Andrea, Fabrizio, Watabe-san, and others, whose assistance has made the today opening possible. Ifm thankful to my friends for their support. Ifm grateful to my wife and my son for their love to me and to my art. Finally I thank all of you for coming today.
