Good verning everybody,

For every Vietnamese artist, to have a solo exhibition in Japan is a dream. For Dr. Nguyen Dinh Dang,
it may be more than a dream because he is not working as a professional artist. As you know, he is
a scientist at the RIKEN Institute of Physical and Chemical Research.

I hope that his paintings will help you to get a glimpse on our history and culture, and therefore, will
contribute in strengthening the mutual understanding and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.

I also hope that the spirit of love and peace, which fills all of his works, will help you to get a bit relaxed
after the heavy days of sorrow due to the terroristic attack on September 11.

I would like to congratulate Mr. Dang for the success of his exhibition.
