When Nguyen Huy Thiep got an invitation to France in 1990,
he asked me to make illustrations to his short-stories so that he can show them together with his books in Paris.
After finishing the illustrations, I gave the original drawings to him, keeping only the photocopies.
This trip to France did not take place.
Thiep told me later that my original drawings were lost when the police raided his office at Quan Thanh street.
