After NUCOLEX99 I received a number of comments about the meeting.
I thought that it may be interesting to post them here. The order of posted messages follows the order in which they were sent to me.

Nguyen Dinh Dang

from K. Tanaki - secretary to Prof. A. Arima (Ministry of Education, Culture and Science):

Dear Dang-san,

Prof. Arima was very happy to attend the party on Friday and have a
lecture on Saturday. (...) He said that he
really appreciated for your efforts. (...)

Sincerely yours,
Keiko Tanaki

from M. Sharma (University of Kuwait):

Dear Prof. Dang,
It was indeed a very well organized meeting and thank you
very much for the hospitality I enjoyed in Riken.
I am delighted to say that the meeting produced very lively
discussions on the topics of the compressibility and
the GDR and I enjoyed every bit of the whole debate
which took place. Indeed the credit for producing such
a successful meeting goes to the organisers and principally
to your dedicated efforts to make it interesting. I hope
that the same spirit will continue to prevail in future
and that we will have more opportunities to be able
to address some of the most intriguing problems.
Once again I would like to take this opportunity to thank
you very much for the kind invitation and the hospitality.
With best regards,
Madan M. Sharma

P.S. I just viewed your collection of the photos of NUCOLEX99
and thank you for posting these very promptly.

been really a good time last week in Japan !
(...)

 Warm regards
 Gianluca

from N. Van Giai (IPN - Orsay):

Dear Dang,
(...)
I found the workshop quite successful and lively. Thank you for the good
organization and hospitality.

from Y. Abe (Yukawa Inst. for Theor. Phys. - Kyoto)

(...)
I think the Symposium was very successful,  so many discussions etc.
(...) Only one thing I regret is that not so many young experimentalists
in RIKEN participated in the Meeting.  Of course, that is not due to you and the
other organisers.  Nowadays, they are so busy with their own subject and have not any
more allowance in their mind.  In a sense, that is dangerous in a long term, but that
is a reality !!  We have to try to change it.
(...)
The Meeting was indeed be memorised for a long time, so the Proc. should be nicely published.
Thank you again for all your kindness.
Sincerely,  Yasughisa ABE

from J.P. Blaizot (SPhT, Saclay)

(...)
I found the discussions at the meeting quite stimulating
(...)

from K. Snover (Univ. of Washington, Seattle)

Congratulations on getting the proceedings published so fast.  Especially
compared to the Varenna giant resonance conf which took a year!
sincerely, Kurt Snover

from  M. Trotta (INFN Napoli)

Hallo,

Thank you again.
I had a look at the Proceedings: they are very well done!!
And above all congratulations for NUCOLEX99 which was very
well organized. I'll save a pleasant memory of the stimulating
discussions and of the friendly atmosphere.
It was a very interesting occasion for me, so thanks again
for having given me the opportunity to join the Workshop.
See you,
Monica
